Changelog

Growth Plans evolves deliberately. Updates prioritize clarity, durability, and backwards compatibility over velocity.

February 2026 (to date)

February focused on making growth seasonal, stateful, and longitudinal without breaking existing artifacts.

  • Added an explicit season loop for Skill Gap Analysis: active/closed seasons, a deliberate close ritual, and next-season setup from prior snapshots.
  • Introduced season carry-forward decisions when starting a new season: carry, retarget, archive, or add new capability areas.
  • Goal completion now triggers an in-app re-baseline prompt for linked capability areas, with progression history appended over time.
  • Added a longitudinal capability progression view across seasons, including baseline, re-baseline, and season-close checkpoints.
  • Added guided first-run onboarding to establish initial capability areas, choose season timeframe, and promote the first area into execution.
  • Added calm identity framing to reinforce engineer ownership in SGA and season workflows.
  • Refined season language and UI framing to be explicitly independent of company performance cycles across SGA and EGP.
  • Strengthened the close-season ritual with impact summary signals and a post-close milestone confirmation moment.
  • Upgraded the season-close reflection into three focused prompts to produce clearer, more durable growth records across seasons.
  • Added local-first suggested reflection drafts in Season Close to reduce blank-page friction while preserving full user ownership of final language.
  • Improved season-close summary accuracy so completed-work and reflection context are scoped to the active season.
  • Added a season summary block to PDF exports when a close reflection exists, improving artifact usefulness over time.
  • Refined the close-season modal scrolling behavior to keep long reflections readable on smaller viewports.
  • Added a gentle in-product execution nudge when active seasons go idle.
  • Introduced a stateful EGP execution lifecycle: Draft, Active, and Completed goals.
  • Success criteria now support completion state and progress tracking, turning goals into active execution loops instead of static plans.
  • Goal completion now requires explicit user action with clear completion requirements and a reflection checkpoint.
  • Added a dedicated Completed Goals milestone section with richer discussion-ready snapshots (goal context, reflection, criteria, and work log evidence).
  • Upgraded Experience Sharing into timestamped log entries to better capture ongoing execution over time.
  • Improved completed-goal scanning with search, sorting, and more informative summary cards.
  • No breaking changes. Legacy data, exports/imports, sync, and PDF outputs remain backwards compatible.
